ISLAMABAD: The central executive committee of Pakistan Peoples Party in a meeting endorsed the statement given by Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of PPP.
A meeting conducted by top brass of PPP discussed the current situation of Karachi. The meeting decided to endorse the statement given by Zardari.
Earlier, at an oath taking ceremony of party workers Zardari had burst out against the Rangers. He had demanded that they stay in their limits.
It is widely thought that the statement came after DG Rangers Maj-Gen Bilal accussed the Sindh government of being involved in an illegal money trail worth Rs230 billion.
It was also decided in the meeting that Bilawal Bhutto, co-chairman of PPP will also going to take part in the general elections and formally enter politics.
Khurshid Ahmed Shah’s name was proposed for the next Chief Minister of Sindh.
Former Prime Ministers, Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf offered their resignations from the party over the alleged corruption charges and demanded neutral investigation over this issue.
Zardari asked all the institutions to remain in their limits, said Farhatullah Babar.
